Take this Test and Rate Your Hospital Security Program

The SMSI Hospital Security Diagnostic Test is an instrument that allows you to quickly ascertain the degree of exposure to potential security problems. This simple self-test will provide you with valuable insight into the "health" of your hospital security program. Don't let a crisis bring hospital security to the front burner! By answering the enclosed 75 questions, significant dollar losses can be averted if appropriate corrective action is taken. These questions do not highlight every security contingency that may come up in most hospitals. They are meant to call attention to the scope breadth of security vulnerabilities that every hospital must pay attention to. SMSI believes it is prudent to consider these kinds of questions now rather than waiting for a security incident to happen.

 

01) YESNO Is your hospital in full compliance with the OSHA, Guidelines for Preventing Work place Violence for Health Care & Social Service Workers?
02) YESNO Has your hospital had a security audit conducted by a Board Certified Protection Professional in the last 12 months?
03) YESNO Have your fully evaluated the potential for assaults on staff, patients and/or visitors anywhere on hospital property?
04) YESNO Is it correct that there has never been a security-derived lawsuit filed against your hospital? (This includes both premises liability claims and/or intentional torts.)
05) YESNO Can you demonstrate that your hospital's security budget is cost beneficial because it is producing measurable savings through effective Loss Prevention?
